Plano Junior Lax is dedicated to promoting and supporting the growth of community-based youth lacrosse programs. Our goal is to particpate and help local community recreational programs develop lacrosse programs for both boys and girls and to enable them to compete in a friendly, cooperative and encouraging manner. Kids need to have fun playing lacrosse. To reach that goal, we are part of a group of community-based lacrosse programs have banded together to form a formal league NTYLA, in which teams of comparble skill level, with similar goals and objectives compete against one another.  The Plano Sports Authority was founded as a Non-Profit Agency in December, 1970 when individual sports leagues incorporated to form one administrative youth sports organization. It provides quality year-round recreational sports leagues to all boys and girls who live within the Plano Independent School District and surrounding areas. Plano Junior Lacrosse is a part of PSA. Lacrosse, the fastest growing sport in the US, is still not large enough to support interal competition within the local communities. Therefore, all teams in the DFW area compete in a league called NTYLA(North Texas Youth Lacrosse). All PSA teams participate in NTYLA and represent the City of Plano as Plano Jr. Lacrosse. |
